Very nice score and beautifully shot it has to be said. There's almost unbearable tension in the car chase scene which is superbly done. I'm tempted to see it again which I use says something about the film's effect. This is a class act throughout - set, structure, direction, acting and an old-school score it's clear Ford is a fan of Hitchcock. Better yet a decent chunk of the film is a modern western and a chilling one at that which has probably increased flight sales.
The three narratives intertwine throughout and part of the fun is adding it all together. There is an almost cruel jump moment that seems to have been thrown in out of cruelty but in reality is just a very clever way of putting people on edge for the rest of the film. Glen heal is great as he always is when not in blockbuster mode, Shannon has some great lines and does crazy with ease and Amy Adams does an impressive job with what is largely a silent role involved sitting/lying on things. I also enjoyed the ending as it's one that leaves it up to the viewer to make conclusions. Ford is looking like one of those people who excel across the artistic board and genius is probably deserved in that respect.
